Hi! I'm Dave and thanks for stopping by.

I've been interested in photography for a few years now. While I've always had a camera, my interest really took off in 2003 when I bought my first digital camera. Since then, well, things really have taken off and I've become ever more serious with my hobby. So much so that I'll get up at 4am to make the most of the best light at sunrise, and carry ridiculously heavy equipment. Just hoping for that one shot, which makes everything worthwhile.

Originally from Bristol, UK, I have relocated to Ithaca, upstate New York, USA for my graduate studies in environmental toxicology, enabling me to actively persue my interests in cancer biology.

While Ithaca is in New York, it should not be confused with New York City (as you will tell from my portfolio!). While Ithaca is a small and quiet area, for a wildlife/nature photographer such as myself, it really is a dream! They don't say "Ithaca is gorges" for no good reason!

I've already had 2 photography exhibitions - one at the Ithaca Community School of Music and Arts (5 pieces or work) and my own "solo" exhibition at Cornell University Graduate and Proffesional Centre (9 pieces), titled "Camera Captures - Photography by Dave Corney".
